アジア文化造形学会は、アジア民族造形学会(Asia Ethno-Forms Association)と創立時の名称に戻りました。変更の理由は、

創立以来20年近く使われた名称の浸透度が高く有用性が高いこと
-
学会創立者、金子量重先生の業績を再評価するべきであること
-
九州国立博物館、ソウル国立博物館、ベトナム国立博物館との関係
-
アジア民族造形学会が設立に関与した韓国アジア民俗学会との関係、等々によりアジア文化造形学会の名称では不都合が生じたためです。
